Day 125 26/07/2011 Bunbury
Happy Birthday Poppy!!
At last I had managed to secure a haircut appointment for myself and the boys, we were in desperate need of one!! The hairdresser was lovely and delivered three lovely cuts.
We received some terribly bad news today; Pete took the caravan to have its inspection for NSW registration. We were confident that the caravan of peace love and happiness would get a clear bill of health, I mean seriously, we could see where the wear and tear was but would this impinge on her overall performance? Hhmm well yes, Pete came back with a rather sad face and advised that the caravan had FAILED her rego check!! Oh my goodness we were devastated!! Registration runs out on the 22nd August 2011 so now we have a time frame as to when we have to be back in NSW. At least in NSW we can try for another registration inspection maybe second time lucky. Pete explained that there are different standards for caravans in WA and what the caravan failed on over here, she is not required to have in NSW – something to do with a breakaway system!!
We decided that we should begin the march south again tomorrow; this meant yet another shopping trip to ensure that the caravan of peace love and happiness at least had food.
After the kids were safely settled into bed the cards came out again. Cards and lots of red wine, it was a very funny end to a lazy day. We have had a great time staying with Steve and Danni, we will be sad to leave tomorrow but I guess reasonably they don’t want us living in their house forever!! Pete has really enjoyed the space of a house and the kids have had fun running around. I’m not sure how I will pack the family back up and squeeze them into the caravan for the final leg of the trip
